Visual communication is an important tool for enhancing ocean literacy and raising awareness about conservation of species and habitats. As a proverb says: ‘Tell me, and I will forget, show me, and I will remember, let me do it, and I will learn’.
Thus, our intern Rosana Fernandes (Communication Sciences, UniPiagetCV), with the help of ECOCV assistants produced a brief introduction on importance and vulnerabilities of seagrasses in Cabo Verde. And so, in addition to data collection and analysis, we learn how to communicate, which is often an essential bridge between field work and decision making for the conservation and effective management of natural resources.
