The teams of ECOCV and Ekonatura had a great pleasure and honour to receive at the Ecocenter of SãoFrancisco the Ambassador of Canada for Senegal and Cabo Verde and her colleagues. It was a very special visit because of the #CFLI funding and support for the project in the community of São Francisco to address climate change impacts and boost solutions for the adaptation. Madame Ambassador shared some challenges of climate change impacts in Canada. We shared our experience in recycling glass and plastic, also received valuable feedback and wonderful words of support. As one big team we visited local kindergarten and gave as a present a newly developed ‘furniture’ from recycled plastic bottles. Small citizens of São Francisco approved our latest design in creative recycling.
