Community-based plastic and glass recycling is build by the cabo-verdean principle of 'djunta mon' - joining hands of many partners and community of São Francisco. The main focus is to strengthened the sustainability of waste management, build capacity and empower local women and men, adapt to climate change, and educate through practical examples and solutions.
